Speech Articulation

Speech is a learning process.

What is fast, loud, and crunchy? A rocket chip.

What is that animal with the long ears? A wabbit.

As your child learns to speak and produce word sounds, one little sound can make a big difference. It can make a joke funny. It also can make a little kid sound adorable.

I’ll even admit that I love hearing my son say, “I went there when I was a ‘widdle’ kid.” (Spoiler alert: we went there 6 months ago).

But at some point, those cute sounds can lead to worry.

One little sound (or several sounds) can be making your child hard to understand when they are speaking.

They might even avoid saying words with that sound when talking in front of the class.

They may be getting teased. I know; it breaks my heart, too.

Don’t fret. I can help your child finally conquer that tricky sound.

Proper speech is important.

Being able to articulate words correctly is important.

Speech is the way humans communicate and express their feelings.

When children do not outgrow those cute words, therapy is important to consider.

I can help your child.

Better to start early – but never too late.

In addition to children, I also help older kids and adults with problems of proper speech articulation.
